Privacy policy
1avance is a free artificial intelligence assistant. This page explains which data is processed when you use it, why, and how to delete it.
Data we process
- Your conversations: your messages and the AI's answers, to show your history and give the AI context.
- Your memory: the preferences and facts the AI remembers to personalize its answers. You can see all of them on the My account page.
- Your account, if you create one: your email address and your password, stored only in hashed form, never in plain text.
- An anonymous identifier, if you have no account: a random code stored in a cookie, which links your conversations to your browser.
- Your IP address: kept for 48 hours at most to prevent abuse (number of messages per day).
How the AI works
Answers are generated by an open AI model installed on our own server. When this server is very busy, your conversation may be sent to OpenRouter and to the provider running the same model, only to generate the answer.
When your question is about recent events, the AI writes a search query that is sent to search engines from our server. Your IP address is not passed on to them.
Do not share sensitive information (health, bank details, passwords). The AI is instructed never to remember it.
Cookies
av_s: session cookie, required for the service and the security of forms.av_anon: anonymous identifier, 13 months at most.av_lang: chosen language, 13 months at most.- Google AdSense advertising cookies, set only according to your choices in Google's consent window. Learn more.
Retention
Your conversations and memory are kept until you delete them. Data of users without an account who have been inactive for 13 months is deleted automatically.
Your rights
At any time, without having to write to us, you can erase a single memory, your whole memory, your whole history or your account from the My account page. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Under the GDPR, you also have the right of access, rectification and objection, which you can exercise by writing to contact@1avance.com, and you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
